Chelsie Taresh Ciscell, M.S.

Chelsie is an advisor and advocate, wife to Galen, and mother of two wonderful children. Throughout her professional career in Student Affairs in Higher Education, Chelsie developed a passion for racial diversity and now facilitates discussions about race, mostly in all white spaces. Drawing on her own experience developing her white identity and moving from a place of fear to a place of confidence, Chelsie now encourages and guides other white folks through their own white racial identity journey utilizing a challenge and support model.

Galen Ciscell, Ph.D.

Galen is an antiracist educator, husband to Chelsie, and father to their delightful children. Drawing on his training as a sociologist, Galen has taught courses and facilitated workshops on race, class, sexuality, and gender for the past decade. Like the mentors who helped him develop his own white racial consciousness, Galen challenges participants to subvert the active teacher / passive student dynamic, in order to become equal contributors to the learning process.
